The nomenclature of the producing plants and raw materials for the production of homeopathic remedies in Russia

The present study conducted in collaboration by the pharmacognostic (Doctor of  Pharmacological Science Tatiana L. Kisseleva) and the geobotanist  (Candidate of Biological Science Elena V. Tsvetayeva) is the first attempt of the analysis and systematization of the data on the sources of the raw materials of plant origin used in homeopathy. In the study there is presented the general list of the producing plants used in the world practice (1,063 plants) and among them those used in Russia (706 plants) for the production of homeopathic remedies which are allowed for medical usage on the territory of our country and are included in the State Register. For the first time there have been outlined the raw materials sources which have practical value for the country’s raw materials basis of homeopathic remedies.There has been presented  their classification by the origin (wild, cultivated, imported). The conducted study has both scientific and applied value (namely, for the foundation of the Russian Homeopathic Pharmacopeia, for the formation of the raw materials basis for the country’s manufacturers of remedies).
All botanic names are given according to the sources determining their priority.
The Reference Book is intended for doctors, pharmaceutists, students of medical and pharmaceutical higher education institutions and for specialists busy in the production of homeopathic remedies.
